I spent a decent 7 hours penciling 8 pages.
And because of that I've no time to ink them.
Will ink them in a go tomorrow and post them up.
The following 8 pages are meant to view
in a go anyway.
Just to prove I'm not slacking, here are the pencils:
I was inspired by a letter sent by a writer-author,
Iain Buchanan.
I met Iain in a book reading session.
And seeing his works and how beautiful they are,
I gave him 2 of my books.
He was kind enough to write a review back in
traditional-pure letter form. Yes, it comes with a stamp too.
I was really touched by his effort of reading my books
and reviewing them. He wrote me 4-pages long!
And with his letter, he advised me to spend more time
at my work. Meaning that I really need to craft my work out
properly and not to rush them out.
After completing 30dayartist run for 4 times,
I realized I don't need to prove myself anymore
by forcing the art out.
Schedule wise, yes, I need to force myself
to be at the drawing table. But I'm NOT gonna force
myself to complete a page. I'm just gonna force
my ass to sit at the drawing table. To be productive.
So-sometimes now, a panel would take me
as long as 2 hours just to complete.
And I love my art better.
No rush.
You see, this is a whole different kind of rush now.
But if you haven't done as much 30dayartist run as I have,
you still need to stick to the first process of forcing
the art out. "Quantity and not quality."
It is only after you have pass that stage,
then you can graduate to "Quality and not quantity."
Why?
It's hard to explain.
Or maybe I have. I dunno.
But nothing beats of you discovering it for yourself
just by jumping onto the 30dayartist wagon.

P/S: I'm still waiting for Iain to allow me to publish the
letters here.
